These are the eligibility criteria for the  SASSA War Veterans Grant Pension in South Africa:

  • The applicant must have fought in either Word War II (1939-1945) or Korean War (1950-1953).
  • Must have the South African residency and citizenship.
  • The applicant should not receive any other kind of social grant.
  • The age should be more than 60 years.
  • Must be disabled due to fighting in the war.
  • Should not be earning more than R 86 280 annually (R8 070 per month) if single and R172 560 annually (R16 140 per month) if married.
  • Pass the means test.
  • The applicant should not be receiving any kind of care or assistance in any governmental institute.

How to Apply for Military Veterans Pension?

  • Visit the SASSA Office
